Given the fact, that in Latvia it is necessary to introduce modern ideas and concepts in real estate management I decided to gain new experience from one of the leading countries in this sector. Therefore, I applied for the Baltic American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) professional internship program in the United States (U.S.). After overcoming application contest and an interview process I was accepted in the program which enabled me to receive scholarship and internship placement at U.S. company. With help and coordination from BAFF I was able to find my internship placement in New York City.
Riga has the most diverse neighborhood selection in the Baltic States, therefore you will be able to find a home that fits your needs in no time. It wouldn’t be right to compare cities that are in two different weight categories. Therefore, we are not comparing if Riga is better or worse than New York City. We will list the good things about one of the most diverse cities in the world – New York. 50km+ hiking places from the city center
Our team continues to reconnect urban environment with nature and this time we visited “Great Kemeri Bog Boardwalk”. Recently we started an intiative: 50km+ hiking places from city center with a goal of findig all the cool places near to our urban centers in Latvia and other parts of the world. Hopefully, this initiative will not only help us to find awesome places but improve the understaning of nature that is all around us! We must conclude: Yes, the location of Riga, Latvia is truly excellent place to live.
Urban Treetops explored a new hiking place 50+km from city of Riga, Latvia which is called Bīriņi and its surrounding territory of Bīriņu castle. This is another great example of connectivity between cities and rural areas, especially if the travelling distance is so small. In less than an hour you can reach this gorgeous place by car.
