The neighborhood of Brasa is conveniently connected with the center of Riga, as well as other neighborhoods of the city. Several main street arteries are passing through the Brasa neighborhood. Additionally, the local street network in the neighborhood is suitable for today's needs. Several bicycle routes are recently built both to the city center and to the green recreational areas of Mežaparks and Šmerlis. Public transport takes you from Brasa to the city center in under 20 minutes. In summer, you can take the train from Brasa station to the Vecāķi beach (17min) or further on to the beach city of Saulkrasti (50min).

Brasa is an up and coming neighborhood that is slowly turning into one of the trendiest places to live in the city of Riga. For example, a great tradition, which has been happening for a couple of years now is called: Hospitāļu street community celebration. The celebration is a great experience for any visitor that wants to feel the vibe of the Brasa neighborhood. A laid-back hipster lifestyle can be one of the characteristics that describes Brasa, as there are many creative shops and places within the neighborhood. Here you will find friendly neighbors, who will make you feel welcome in Brasa.
Rigans who work in city center of Riga but want to come home to a peaceful atmosphere enjoy Brasa big time. The neighborhood has plenty of green zones that provide tranquility and fresh air. The speed of traffic is reduced by the historical cobblestone on most of the Brasa residential streets. Many great bars, restaurants and clubs, attended by the local hipsters, are located nearby. The Rigans have shifted to find entertainment in more relaxed and creative neighborhoods, such as Brasa and the nearby Miera street, while the historical Riga city center is left to tourists.
For example, one of coolest places to hang out and eat is called the "Piena (Milk) Quarter" - it's located on the border with the Center neighborhood. Open-air concerts can be attended here through the Summer. Additionally, there are many coffee shops, restaraunts and bars located on Miera street. You will love it! ♥

This may be due to the fact that surrounding neighborhoods are rapidly developing, for example Skanste neighborhood which is one of the most expensive areas to live in Riga. The neighborhood is also hosting good quality office buildings, for example Duntes Biroji and one of the best universities in the Baltic States Banku Augstskola.
