When Urban Treetops team visited Jelgava we were surprised about several infrastructure projects. Especially the The Lielupe Bank Promenade. This walkway is a great addition for local cyclists and pedestrians. With convenient access to other parts of infrastructure, recreational places and cafes this project has been a success for the city of Jelgava.
Basically you are on the same level with water. This was achieved by building a 5 metre high embankment of the river Lielupe. You can access the lower level by steps that are leading down to water.
